 Anahi Giovanna Puente Portilla de Velasco (born 14 May 1983) is known by her mononym, Anahi is a Mexican singer and actress. Her acting career began in 1986, when she was cast as a Chiquilladas actress. After many successes with Televisa's telenovelas, such as Alondra (1995), Vivo por Elena (191998), El Diario de Daniela (191998) and Mujeres Enganadas (1998), her first major role was in Pedro Damian's Primer Amor...A Mil por Hora (2000). In 2003, Anahi was part of the cast of Clase 406. Anahi achieved international fame in 2004 after starring in Rebelde and also being part of the twice-nominated for a Latin Grammy Award group RBD who sold over 15 million records worldwide. 1 In 2011, she was a part-time actress in Dos Hogares, her last telenovela to date.In 1993 at the age of 10 years old, Anahi released her first self-titled album. The second album, 'Hoy Es Mannana', was released in the year 1996. It contained the singles "Corazon de Bombon", "Por Volverte a Ver" and "Descontrolandote". Anahi also recorded two more albums: Anclado en Mi Corazon (1997) as well as Baby Blue (2000). Anahi's fifth album Mi Delirio was released in 2009. It was a huge success, selling over 100,000 copies in the world. The album ranked second on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums charts and number four on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums charts. It was also certified Gold in Brazil. 5. Mi Delirio World Tour was her first tour in the world. Billboard reports that Mi Delirio World Tour was the seventh-highest-profiting tour in the year 2010. Anahi's sixth album Inesperado (2016) was preceded by the singles "Rumba", Eres, and "Amnesia". "Rumba" was a collaboration with Wisin and reggaeton singer Wisin was a top-ranked hit on Billboard’s Tropical Songs charts.
