Adriana Lima[ (Portuguese pronunciation"adri'ana'lima"; born 12 June 1981) is a Brazilian model, known for her role as a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1999 until 2018. She was the longest-running Victoria's Secret Angel and was named "the most valuable Victoria's Secret Angel" for 2017. The model is well-known as a spokesmodel and on commercials for Kia Motors and Maybelline since 2003. At the age of 15, Lima won Ford's "Supermodel of Brazil" competition. She then took second place the following year in the Ford "Supermodel of the World" competition, before joining Elite Model Management in New York City.Lima is currently ranked by models.com as one of the "New Supers". From 2014 on, Lima has been the most-paid model in the world. In 2012, she landed in 4th place on the Forbes highest-earning models list. estimated to earn $7.3 million in a single year. In 2013, she came third and in 2014 she came 2nd with earnings of $8 million. With earnings of $9 million she finished 2nd in 2015. In 2016, she maintained the second place with earnings of US$10.5 million.
