Barbara Eden

 Barbara Eden (born Barbara Jean Morehead 23 August 1931) is an American singer, actress and producer who is best known for her starring part in the role of Jeannie in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970). Roslyn Pierce was Elvis Presley's sidekick on Flaming Star (1960), Lieutenant JG Cathy Connors (Voyage to the bottom of the Sea between 1961 and) and Stella Johnson, a widowed mother in Harper Valley PTA (1978) are some other noteworthy roles. The film's popularity led to Eden returning to her role as Stella Johnson on Harper Valley PTA (1978). Her first public appearance was in the choir at church, where she sang in a solo. She performed in local bands under the direction of Howard Fredericks, Freddie Martin when she was a teenager. She also took theater classes at City College of San Francisco for a year. Barbara Huffman was her Miss San Francisco 1951 election. She also competed for Miss California in 1955.
