Ben Affleck

 Benjamin Gyza Affleck (born August 15 1972) is an American actor and film maker. His achievements include two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Volpi Cup, the principal award presented to actors during the Venice Film Festival. He started his career as a child when he starred in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988). In the following years, he appeared on the independent comedy Dazed & Confused (1993) as well as several Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was recognized even more when he won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). He also played a lead role in the film. Affleck became a prominent man in studio films such as the disaster film Armageddon (1998) as well as the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (192001), which he also starred in.
