Benjamin Edward Meara Stiller (born November 30, 1965) is an American actor, comedian, and film maker. He is the son and daughter of actor and comedian Jerry Stiller, and Anne Meara. He has made more than $2.6billion in Canada as well as the United States with his films, an average of $79m per film. Stiller was also a part of the Frat Pack which was a group of comic actors. Stiller began his acting career writing mockumentaries. Later He was offered a series known as The Ben Stiller Show. The comedy variety series aired 13 episodes and was produced and hosted by Stiller. He was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award in 1992 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Program. The show aired on MTV between 1990 and 1992. He later appeared on shows such as Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Arrested Development.Having previously appeared on television, he began acting in movies.
