Blake Ellender Lively (nye Brown; born August 25, 1987) is an American actress. Born in Los Angeles, Lively is the daughter of actor Ernie Lively, and made her professional debut with the directed project Sandman (1998). She starred as Bridget Vreeland in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) alongside the sequel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008) to commercial success. She was the co-star with Justin Long in Accepted (2006). Her role as Serena van der Woodsen on the CW Teen Drama series Gossip Girl (2007-12/12) earned her fame and recognition. She also appeared in romantic comedies such as New York, I Love You (2008) or The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009). Lively was a co-star with Ben Affleck in the crime thriller The Town (2010) and she starred alongside her soon-to-be spouse Ryan Reynolds in Green Lantern (2011). She was in the cast of the ensemble
