Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor, born July 12, 1951, Cheryl Jean Ladd, born on July 12, 1951, is an American actor, singer and author. She is most famous for her part in Charlie's Angels' second season in which she was substituted by Farrah Fawcett-Majors. Ladd continued to appear on the show until it ended in 1981. Her film roles include Purple Hearts (1984), Millennium (1989), Poison Ivy (1992), Permanent Midnight (1998) and Unforgettable (2017).Ladd's big acting break was in 1977 when she was a part of the ABC television show Charlie's Angels, replacing star Farrah Fawcett, who left the show after just one season in order to pursue a film career. In order to make the transition smoother for audiences, producers cast Ladd as the character's younger sister, Kris, instantly making her member of the "Angels family". In the years to come the practice of replacing Angels was a regular feature for the show. However, Ladd remained a part of the main cast for four seasons, before the show's cancellation in June 1981.
