Maria Jose de Pablo Fernandez who is known professionally as Cote de Pablo (born November 12, 1979) is a Chilean American actress and singer. Born in Santiago, Chile, she moved to the United States at the age of ten, and was a student of acting.De Pablo co-hosted episodes of the Latin-American talk show Control along with the former Entertainment Tonight host Carlos Ponce at the age of 15 before attending Carnegie Mellon University to study theater and music. After performing in a range of television roles, she was chosen to be Ziva David who is the main character of CBS's NCIS television series. She won an ALMA Award in 2011 for the role. She also sang on Roberto Pitre's Vivo En Vida CD. De Pablo started her career in the entertainment industry at 15 years old, hosting shows on Control (1994-1995) on Univision together with Carlos Ponce, an ex-Event Tonight host.
