American actor Elisabeth Singleton Moss was born on July 24, 1982. Her work in television dramas has earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as two Golden Globe Awards. Vulture initially acknowledged her for her performance in Zoey Bartlet's youngest daughter, president Josiah Bartlet. (NBC, 1999-2006). She earned wider recognition for playing Peggy Olson, a secretary-turned-copywriter, in the AMC period drama series Mad Men (2007-2015), and subsequently won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Movie/Miniseries and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film for portraying Detective Robin Griffin in the BBC miniseries Top of the Lake (2013). Moss was the creator and lead in the Hulu dystopian drama series The Handmaid's Tale (2017-2018). She also won the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actress as well as Outstanding Drama Series.
