James Cameron

 James Francis Cameron CC, born August 16 1954 is a Canadian filmmaker. His films include epics and science fiction. Cameron was first recognized by his contribution to The Terminator (1984). Cameron had more success through Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) as well as the action comedy True Lies (1994). Avatar (1909) and Titanic (1997) were also directed by Cameron. Titanic earned him Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Editing. Avatar, which was filmed in 3D technology, earned him nominations for similar categories. In addition to filmmaking, he is a National Geographic sea explorer and has created numerous documentaries about the subject, including Ghosts of the Abyss (2003) and Aliens of the Deep (2005). Cameron has also helped develop underwater filming as well as remote vehicle technologies , and also created the revolutionary digital 3D Fusion Camera System. Cameron was the first person to on his own descend to the Mariana Trench in 2012 using the Deepsea Challenger submarine.
