James Cameron

 James Francis Cameron CC, born August 16, 1954, is a Canadian filmmaker. His films feature science fiction and epics. Cameron was first noticed for his work on The Terminator (1984), which he wrote and directed. Cameron was able to achieve further success through Aliens (1986), The Abyss (89), Terminator 2 : Judgment Day in 1991, as well as True Lies (1994). He also directed and wrote Titanic (1997) as well as Avatar (2009) which was a huge success, with Titanic earning the Academy Awards in Best Picture as well as Best Director and Best Editing of Film. Avatar that was shot using 3D technology earned nominations in similar categories. He is also a National Geographic sea explorer. He has produced numerous documentaries on the subject which include Ghosts of the Abyss (2003, 2005) and Aliens of the Deep (2005). Cameron has also helped develop underwater filming as well as remote vehicle technologies , and also helped create the revolutionary digital 3D Fusion Camera System. In 2012, Cameron became the first person to complete a solo descent into the depths of the Mariana Trench, the deepest section of the Earth's ocean in the Deepsea Challenger submersible.
