Jayne Mansfield

 Jayne Mansfield (born Vera Jayne Palmer; April 19th, 1933 - June 29 1967) was an American actress and singer who was also a nightclub entertainer, as well as a Playboy Playmate. Mansfield, a sex icon of the 1950s and 1960s when she was working under the contract of 20th Century Fox. She is well-known for her public appearances as well as publicity stunts. Her film career was brief, but she had many box-office successes, and she won a Theatre World Award and a Golden Globe Award. Mansfield was the fictional actress Rita Marlowe, who won the Broadway production "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1955-1956) that she reprised in the film adaptation of the same title (1957). Other film roles she has performed include The Girl Can't Help But Smile (1956), The Wayward Bus (1957) and The Musical Comedy (1956), The Drama The Girl Can't Help it (1957), The Neo-Noir Too Hot to Handle (1960) and The Sexy Comedy Promises! Promises! (1963) This film established Mansfield as the first significant American actress to perform in a naked scene in a post-silent era film
