Kate Garry Hudson (born April 19th 1979) is an American businesswoman and actress. Her accolades include an award for a Golden Globe Award as well as a Critics Choice Movie Award as well as a Satellite Award. She also was nominated for the Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her role in the role of Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous (2000) earned her international fame. The film was nominated for an Oscar in that category. She was the recurring character Cassandra July in the hit TV show Glee (2012-13).
