Lil KIm

 Kimberly Denise Jones, born July 11, 1974, more commonly known as Lil' Kim , is an American rapper and reality TV star. Her birthplace was in Brooklyn, New York City and grew up there. After being expelled from her family home, she spent the majority of her childhood in the streets. Jones began freestyle rapping in her teens and was influenced by female hip-hop artists such as Lady of Rage and MC Lyte. In 1994 she was found by fellow rapper The Notorious B.I.G., who invited her to join his group Junior M.A.F.I.A. The group's debut album, Conspiracy, was certified double platinum and received two top 20 singles in America. The album was the first female rapper album to hit the shelves in the US at the time. The albums that followed, The Notorious K.I.M. Platinum certification was awarded to La Bella Mafia (2001) and Lil Kim (2001). 2001 saw Lil' Kim climb to the top spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with the single "Lady Marmalade" (a remake of LaBelle the single from 1974) Alongside Mya, Pink, and Christina Aguilera.
