Amanda Leigh Moore (born April 10 1984) is an American musician, singer and actress. She became famous with her debut single "Candy", which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut studio album, So Real (1999) received platinum certification from RIAA. The title track of her album reissue So Real, "I Wanna Be With You" (2000) became Moore's first top 40 song in the US which peaked at 24 on the Hot 100. Moore released her studio albums Mandy Moore (1901), Coverage (2003) and Wild Hope (2007). She also released Amanda Leigh (2009) and Silver Landings (2022). According to Billboard, Moore has sold over 2.7 million albums in America. Her feature film debut was in 2001 with Dr. Dolittle 2 as a minor role. She then starred in The Princess Diaries as Lana Thomas. She was recognized for her role as Jamie Sullivan in the romantic drama film A Walk to Remember (2002) as well as her appearance in the movies Chasing Liberty (2004), Saved! (2004), Racing Stripes (2005) Then I Said I Said (2007), License to Wed (2007), Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011), 47 Meters Down (2017), The Darkest Minds (2018) and Midway (2019). Moore also played the role of Princess Rapunzel in the Disney animated musical comedy film Tangled (2010) and subsequent appearances in Disney media.
