Sir Michael Philip Jagger, born 26 July 1943, is an English musician and singer. Jagger is famous for his role as lead vocalist and founding member of the rock band The Rolling Stones. The ongoing collaboration between him and Keith Richards is one of the most successful partnerships in history. Jagger's career spans six years. He is widely regarded as one among the most influential and well-known frontmen in rock music history. His distinct voice and lively live performances, in addition to Richards' guitar style, have been the Rolling Stones' trademark throughout the band's career. Jagger's drug addiction and romantic relationships gained his a lot of media attention. Jagger was also depicted as a countercultural icon. Jagger was born in Dartford. After studying at the London School of Economics, he joined the Rolling Stones to continue his studies. Jagger and Richards have co-written most of the Rolling Stones songs, and they continue to collaborate on music. Jagger was a major in Performance (1970) as well as Ned Kelly (1970), that received mixed reviews.
