Minka Kelly (born June 24 on the 24th of June, 1980) is an American model and actress. Her first role as a star was on the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights (2006-2009) and she also appeared in the series Parenthood (2010-2011), Charlie's Angels (2011), and Almost Human (2013). Kelly was the Dove/Dawn Granger character on the DC Universe/HBO Max series Titans between 2018 and 2021. Kelly graduated from Valley High School, Albuquerque (New Mexico) and then returned to Los Angeles. Kelly was in the middle of a test shoot with a modeling agency when she was asked to manage her by an old Playboy Playmate. She helped Kelly to find work as a receptionist at a surgeon's office which would offer Kelly breast enhancement in exchange for the hours she spent. Kelly was unable to afford the surgery and was fired. Kelly was exposed to the medical field and she decided to enroll in college to study to become a surgeon’s assistant. Then she worked as a scrub tech. In the four years that she worked working in this field, she kept to audition for TV and film roles.
