Sara Evans

 Sara Lynn Evans (/se@r@/; was born February 5, 1971) and is an American country music singer/songwriter. She also acts as an actor also, record producer, and an author. Five of her songs have reached the top of Billboard's chart of country music and she has sold over six million albums. Nine other singles made it to the Billboard top 10 list which included "I Could Not Wait for More", I Keep Looking" and "Cheatin'". Among her top 20 charting singles are "Saints and Angels", "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" and "As If". She has been honored by both the Academy of Country Music as and the Country Music Association. She has also been nominated for numerous other awards from both organizations which include Female Vocalist of Year and Single of the Year.Evans was raised in New Franklin, Missouri and began singing with her siblings in the Evans Family Band. The group performed through her early childhood and early teenage years in her local area. Evans, her older brother Matt Evans, and Matt Evans formed their own group in her teens. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1991 in order to pursue their dream of becoming country musicians. In Nashville, Evans met her first husband Craig Schelske and briefly moved to Aumsville, Oregon before returning to Nashville. When she returned to Nashville she was married to Craig Schelske.
