Stana Katic (/'sta:n@ 'kaetIk born 26 April 1978) is a Canadian-American actor and producer. Katic was born in Hamilton (Ontario), Canada. She has claimed that her parents are Croatian Serbs. I call us Dalmatian because that's the region of the planet where we came from. My family includes Croat, Serb, and some Montenegrin members. Her father hails from Vrlika in Croatia and her mother hails from Sinj, Croatia. Katic was born in Croatia and moved to Illinois with her family. Over the next years, she moved between Canada & the United States. After graduation from West Aurora High School in 1996, Katic enrolled to study International Relations Economics, pre-law and International Relations at the University of Toronto's Trinity College and then at The Theatre School at DePaul University, where she studied towards an MFA in acting between 2000 and 2002. Katic was an actor at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She is the only sister of four brothers.
