Michael Ray Nguyen Stewart (born on 19 November 1989) is popularly referred to as Tyga (a name that is a backronym for Thank You God Always) was an American rapper. In 2008, Tyga signed a recording deal with Republic Records, Cash Money Records, and Young Money Entertainment. In 2011, Tyga's biggest album debut with the label Careless World, Rise of the Last King was made available. It included the songs "Rack City", Faded (featuring Lil Wayne), Far Away (featuring Chris Richardson), Still Got It (featuring Drake) and "Make It Nasty". The album's success was continued with Hotel California (2013), Fan of a Fan (2015) and "Faded" (featuring Lil Wayne), "Far Away" (featuring Chris Richardson), "Still Got It" (featuring Drake) and "Make it Nasty". However, Young Money disputes led to Tyga's release of his own album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty on June 23rd, 2015. Kanye West was the producer of the album, and it was the album that he sold the least. The album sold 5,000 equivalent units in its first week. His May 2018 single, "Taste", featuring Offset reached the top spot at 8 in the Billboard Hot 100. This was his first Top 40 hit since 2015's "Ayo" album featuring Chris Brown. The track was later used as the lead track for his seventh album, Legendary, which was eventually released in 2019.
