Adriana Lima (Portuguese pronunciation: [adri'ana'lima]; born 12 June 1981) is a Brazilian model who is famous for her work as a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1999 to 2018.She was the longest-running model and named "the most important Victoria's Secret Angel" in 2017. Her commercials for Kia Motors and the Super Bowl are also well-known. Lima was 15 when she took home Ford's Supermodel of Brazil competition. She was then second in the Ford Supermodel of the World competition. After signing with Elite Model Management, New York City, Lima is currently listed by models.com as one of the "New Supers". Since 2014, Lima has been the world's second highest-paid model. In 2012, she came 4th on the Forbes highest-earning models list. which is believed to earn $7.3 million in one year. In 2013, she was in 3rd place and in 2014 she came 2nd with earnings of $8 million. In 2015, she was 2nd with earnings of $9million. In 2016, she was in 2nd place, earning US$10.5million. Lima was the brand ambassador for Desigual which is a clothing label that is based in Barcelona. She represented the brand for Calzedonia's Beachwear Collection and Sportmax's ready-to wear collection. Lima is currently an ambassador for Puma and Maybelline as well as Chopard.
