Mayte Michelle Rodriguez (born on July 12, 1978) is an American actress and screenwriter. Rodriguez started her professional career as a boxer who was in trouble in Girlfight (2000). She received the Independent Spirit Award, and the Gotham Award for Best Debut Performance. Rodriguez was later cast as Letty Ortiz, who was a Fast & Furious star. She also appeared as Rain Ocampo in Resident Evil. She was in the thriller about crime S.W.A.T. She starred in S.W.A.T. which was a crime thriller in 2003. She reprised her roles in the video game spin-offs from Avatar and Fast & Furious, and she also appeared in True Crime: Streets of LA (2003), Driver 3 (2004) as well as Halo 2 (2004) and Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012).
