Al Pacino

 Alfredo James Pacino (/p@'tSi:noU/; Italian: [pa'tSi:no]; born April 25 1940) is an American actor. He is considered to be one of the most powerful actors in the 20th century, he's been awarded numerous awards, including the Academy Award, two Tony Awards as well as two Primetime Emmy Awards, making Pacino one of the very few actors to achieve the Triple Crown of Acting. He also has been recognized with the AFI Life Achievement Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the National Medal of the Arts.A method actor, and a former student of the HB Studio and the Actors Studio, where he was taught by Charlie Laughton and Lee Strasberg, Pacino's film debut came at the age of 29 and featured a an unimportant role in Me, Natalie (1969). His first appearance as an addict to heroin in The Panic in Needle Park (1971) was a standout. Wide acclaim and recognition followed his breakout role as Michael Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972), for which he received an award nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor as well as reprise his role in the sequels The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990).
