 Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born March 2, 1997) also known as Becky G, is an American actor and singer. In the year 2011, she began posting videos online of herself singing popular songs. Dr. Luke noticed one of her videos and suggested she sign an agreement with Kemosabe Records as well as RCA Records. In the process of putting together her debut album, Gomez collaborated with artists will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd. Her debut single, "Becky from the Block" (2013) was met with an enthusiastic reception following the release. Her debut extended song, Play It Again (2013), later that same year. The second track, "Can't Get Enough" (2014) was a collaboration with guest vocals from Pitbull and was able to take the top spot on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the United States. Gomez's fourth single, "Shower," was popular across the globe. It reached the top twenty of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) was the first to award the song a multi-platinum certificate to indicate that the nation had sold two million copies. After the success of "Shower," Gomez released "Can't Stop Dancing" (2014), "Lovin' So Hard" and "Break a Sweat” (2015) singles from her forthcoming album.
