Bernie Taupin

 Bernard John Taupin, CBE (born 22 Mai 1950) is an English artist, songwriter and artist. He is best known for his long-running partnership with the musician Elton John, a songwriting collaboration that has been among the most successful in history. Taupin composed the lyrics to the majority of John's songs. In the year 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John also responded to the same ad and they've collaborated on numerous albums. Taupin as well as John were admitted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.Taupin was born at Flatters House, a farmhouse located between the town of Anwick and the town of Sleaford located in the southern part of Lincolnshire, England, the son of Robert Taupin and Daphne, daughter of John Leonard Palchett "Poppy" Cort and who was a Cambridge University-educated classics teacher and former rector at Sale, Greater Manchester (then counted as in Cheshire).
