Dua Lipa (/'du"dua 'lipa" / 'dua 'lipa// (listen) DOO-@ LEEE-p@, Albanian"dua 'lipa born on the 22nd of August, 1995) is an English singer and songwriter. With a mezzo-soprano voice She is well-known for her signature disco-pop sound. Lipa has won numerous awards, which include six Brit Awards as well as three Grammy Awards. She also was awarded two MTV Europe Music Awards and an MTV Video Music Award. Lipa also received two Billboard Music Awards. An American Music Award. Two Guinness World Records. In 2014, the singer signed with Warner Bros. Records and released her debut album, "Epiphany", in 2017. The album climbed to number three on the UK Albums Chart. It also included eight singles such as "Be the One", IDGAF, and the UK top single "New Rules". The single also reached the top spot in the US. The album was certified platinum in many countries across the globe and has earned Lipa the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, as well as British Breakthrough Act. The UK's number one track, "One Kiss", reached the top spot in the year 2018. It was also the longest-running song by an artist of female gender. The singer was awarded the Brit Award for the Song of the Year 2019.
