Amethyst Amelia Kelly (born 7 June 1990) who is professionally known as Iggy Azalea (/@'zeIli @/), is an Australian singer, songwriter, and model. Azalea at the age of 16 moved to America to pursue an opportunity as a musician. After the release of music videos for "Pussy", and "Two Times," Azalea gained public attention. Azalea shortly after released her debut mixtape Ignorant Art (2011) and then signed a recording deal with American rapper T.I. The rapper's Grand Hustle label.Azalea's debut studio album, The New Classic (2014), peaked among the top five on a variety of charts across the globe, but was met with mixed reception from the industry. The album climbed to the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Azalea was the first American female rapper to reach the top position. The New Classic was preceded by Azalea's first single "Work" and the chart-topping track "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX) and was a hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Azalea was included in Ariana Grande's 2014 hit single "Problem", which reached second place after "Fancy".
