Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever (/'di:v@rborn on 21 December 1996) is an American actor from America. She gained recognition for her performances in the FX crime drama television series Justified (2011-2015) as well as the sitcom ABC/Fox Last Man Standing (2011-2021), the Netflix drama miniseries Unbelievable (2019) and the Hulu drama Dopesick (2021). She received Golden Globe Award nominations for Unbelievable and Dopesick in addition to a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Dopesick.Dever was a supporting character in numerous films, such as Bad Teacher (2011), The Spectacular Now (2013), Short Term 12 (2013), Detroit (2017), Beautiful Boy (2018) and Dear Evan Hansen (2021). She was a leading role in the films of 2019 Booksmart and Them That Follow. There are two sisters younger than her, Mady and Jane Dever. When she was five, she started to show an interest in performing arts after her parents bringing her to an acting school. Before she was interested in acting she also participated in ballet, gymnastics and skating on ice. After her family moved to Dallas her father was chosen to be Barney the Purple Dinosaur's voice.
