Kid Rock

Robert James Ritchie, born on 17th January 1971, is an American musician, rapper and singer. His music is a blend of hip-hop, country, and rock. The musician is self-taught and says he plays all instruments in the band he is backing. The album he released as his debut, Grits Sandwiches For Breakfast (1990) was released on Jive Records. His subsequent albums on his own The Polyfuze Method (1993) and Early Mornin Stoned Pimp (1996) saw him developing an individual style that was fully expressed on his breakout album Devil Without a Cause (1998), which was a huge success, selling 14 million copies. This album and its follow-up, Cocky (2001), were notable for their blend of elements of hip-hop and country with rock. The most popular single of the time, "Cowboy" (1999) is considered to be the first pioneering song in the genre of country rap. His top-selling singles include "Picture", (2002) as well as "All Summer Long," (2008). Starting with his 2007 album Rock n Roll Jesus, his music has tended to fall into the country and rock styles.
