American actor Mary Lucy Denise Henner. She made her debut in the original production of the musical Grease in 1971. Then, she was making her debut on screen in the comedy-drama film Between the Lines.In 1977, Henner was cast in her breakthrough role as Elaine O'Connor Nardo in the sitcom ABC/NBC Taxi which she played until 1983 . In the meantime, she received five Golden Globe Award nominations. In the following years, she had co-starring parts in films like Hammett (1982), The Man Who Loved Women (1983), Cannonball Run II (1984) as well as Johnny Dangerously (1984), Rustlers' Rhapsody (1985), Ladykillers (1988), L.A. Story (1991), and Noises Off (1992). She was also a part of the CBS sitcom Evening Shade (1990-1994) and was later in numerous films which included Johnny Dangerously (1984), Cannonball Run II (1984), Johnny Dangerously (1984), Rustlers Rhapsody (1985), Ladykillers (88), L.A. Story (1991) and Noises Off (1992).
