Melanie Lynskey

 Melanie Jayne Lynskey (born 16 May 1977) is a New Zealand actress. Her work is known for its portrayals of women with complex personalities and her proficiency in American dialects,she works predominantly in films that are independent. Lynskey has been awarded two Critics' Choice Awards, the Gracie Award, a New Zealand Film Award as well as an Hollywood Film Award, and an award from the Sundance Special Jury Award, as well as Gotham Award, Golden Nymph Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as Primetime Emmy Award nominations.Lynskey made her debut in film, playing an adolescent murderer in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994). After moving to the United States, Lynskey built an acting career as a support actor in a number of films with a large and small budget such as Ever After (1998) and Detroit Rock City, But... (both 1999), Abandon, Sweet Home Alabama, (both 2002) Shattered glass (2003), Flags of Our Fathers (2006).
