Mike Wolfe

 A lifelong American hunter, Mike Wolfe has been looking for treasures hidden in the woods since he was just four years old. Through the years, he's earned an enviable reputation as one of the country's foremost foragers, traveling from coast to coast in search of the rusty gold. While others see shabby yard and overgrown barns, Wolfe sees the beauty of things that have been lost for a long time and the stories of the people who built these objects, then used them and somehow saved them.Wolfe spends the most time is possible out on the roads and often has Frank Fritz, his friend for 20 years and fellow picker in tow. He claims, "A picker is kind of like a nomad." Wolfe is fascinated by the stories and characters who he meets on his journey. They're just as valuable as the precious treasures he finds in their attics and barns. "Anything that I can earn money from," he laughs. However, he is looking for items with an interesting story, things that fill in some of the gaps in the history of America. This could include antique baby carriages, antique music boxes, or old vehicles with advertising signs that peel off.
