 Onika Tanya Maraj -Petty (nee Maraj born on December 8, 1982) Also commonly referred to as Nicki Minaj (/mI’na:Z/ min–AHZH) born in Trinidad, is a] singer, songwriter and rapper from the United States. She is known for her musical versatility, animated flow in her rapping and singing, as well as accents and alter-egos. After releasing three mixtapes in 2007 and 2009, Minaj received her first major recognition. Her debut album, Pink Friday (2010) was a top seller on the Billboard 200 chart. The album's fifth track, "Super Bass", hit the top three spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In 2021, the RIAA certified it as diamond. The second album of Minaj, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (2012) was a dance-pop album that explored her music as well as her vocals and was ranked first across the world. The album's lead track, "Starships", reached the top five in 15 countries. Her third album, The Pinkprint (2014) focused on deeper issues and was a return to hip-hop roots. Its second single, "Anaconda", reached the top spot on the Hot 100 and, in 2021, the music video was the first of a solo female rapper to reach 1 billion views on YouTube. The singer released her fourth album, Queen, in 2018 and the album was followed by the top ten single "Chun-Li". The collaboration she did with KarolG "Tusa", was the longest-running number one single on the Argentina Hot 100 charts. Minaj's remix of "Say So" by Doja Cat, as well as her collaborative track "Trollz" with 6ix9ine were the first of her Hot 100 number-one singles in 2020.
