Rachel McAdams

 Rachel Anne McAdams (born on 17 November 1978)[2] is a Canadian actress from Canada. After graduating from a theater degree at York University in 2001, she worked in Canadian television and film productions. These included the drama film Perfect Pie (2002), for which she received an Genie Award nomination, the comedy film My Name Is Tanino (2002) as well as the comedy series Slings and Arrows (2003-2005) in which she was awarded an Gemini Award.In 2002, she made her Hollywood film debut in the comedy The Hot Chick. She rose to fame in 2004 when she appeared on the comedy Mean Girls and the romantic drama The Notebook. She was a part of the romantic comedy Wedding Crashers and the psychological thriller Red Eye. In 2005 she also appeared in The Family Stone, a comedy-drama. She was recognized by Hollywood's media as the new "it girl",and received a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Rising Star.After a brief sabbatical in 2009, she re-emerged in 2009 with her appearance in the thriller about politics State of Play, the romantic comedy The Time Traveler's Wife, and the 2009 thriller Sherlock Holmes.
