Salma Hayek

 Salma Hayek Pinault, /'haIek/ HYek; Spanish: ['salma ’xajek(born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez on September 2nd 1996), is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her career began in Mexico with starring roles in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. In films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly made her mark in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) that she also produced was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[and also earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to direct, as well as starring in action-oriented pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) and After the Sunset (2004). A further commercial success was achieved through Grown Ups (2010) and Grown Ups 2 (2013). She also appeared in The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017). Hayek also contributed her voice to animated films like Pussy in Boots (2011) and The Pirates! (2012) and Sausage Party (2016);.
