Sara Evans

 Sara Lynn Evans, /'se@r@/, was born 5 February 1971. She is an American country music songwriter and singer. She also acts as an actor as well as a record producer and an author. Five of her tracks reached the top of Billboard's charts of country music and she's sold over six million albums. Nine other singles have made the top ten on the Billboard country charts with songs like "I Could Not Ask for More", "I Keep Looking" and "Cheatin'". In her the top 20 singles charting are "Saints & Angels", "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" and "As If". [4] She has won accolades from both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. She was also nominated by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association for numerous other honors such as Female Vocalist and Single of The Year. Evans began performing with her siblings in the Evans Family Band. They played in the town she grew up in throughout her teenage and childhood years. Evans and her brother Matt Evans, and her older brother Matt Evans formed their own group during her teenage years. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1991 and pursued a career as country musicians. While in Nashville, Evans met her first husband Craig Schelske and briefly moved to Aumsville, Oregon before returning to Nashville. After returning to Nashville, Evans found work as a demo singer and was subsequently signing a recording contract with RCA Records. In 1997, she released her first album Three Chords and the Truth. The album was followed by No Place That Far (1998), whose second single with the same title topped the Billboard country chart.
