 Robyn Rihanna Fenty, NH (/ri’aen@/ (listen) Ree­AN 4][n 1 was born on the 20th of February, 1988. She is a Barbadian actress, singer and businesswoman. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados, Rihanna auditioned for American record producer Evan Rogers who invited her to the United States to record demo tapes. When she signed to Def Jam in 2005, she soon gained recognition when she released her first two studio albums, Music of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006) Both of them were influenced by Caribbean music and climbed into the top ten of the US Billboard 200 chart.Rihanna's third album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007) was a mix of elements of dance-pop and established her status as a sex symbol in the music industry. The top charting single "Umbrella" brought Rihanna her first Grammy Award and catapulted her to international fame. Rihanna continued to mix dance, pop and R&B genres on her next studio albums: Rated R (2009), Loud (2010) Talk That Talk (2011), and Unapologetic (2012) The latter of which was the first Billboard 200 number one. The albums produced a number of chart-topping singles such as "Rude Boy", "Only Girl (In the World)", "What's My Name? ", "S&M", We Found Love", and "Where Have You been?"
