Alyson Hannigan

 Alyson Lee Hannigan (born March 24, 1974) is an American actress and television presenter. She is best known for her roles as Willow Rosenberg in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) and as Lily Aldrin in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014) for which she was awarded an People's Choice Award in 2009 and also as Michelle Flaherty in the American Pie film series (1999-2012).Since 2016, Hannigan has been hosting the television show Penn and Teller: Fool Us. Hannigan also voiced the character for Claire Clancy in the Disney Junior animated series Fancy Nancy (2018-2022).Hannigan was born in Washington, D.C., the sole child of Emilie (Posner) Haas, who is a real estate agent as well as Alan Hannigan, a Teamsters trucker. Her mother is Jewish and her father is Irish. At age four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials. Hannigan began appearing in commercials as young as four. Hannigan moved to Hollywood in 1988. Her first big film part in Hollywood was in My Stepmother Is an Alien. It was a science-fiction comedy. Hannigan was also starring in My Stepmother Is an Alien. Seth Green later joined Hannigan as a regular on the lineup of Buffy. Her first TV series role came in 1989 when she was cast as the lead of Free Spirit the ABC sitcom. When she was a teenager, Hannigan babysat for the children of her upcoming How I Met Your Mother costar, Bob Saget.
