Sarah Gray Rafferty, born December 6, 1972, is an American actress. Her character as Donna Paulsen, USA Network's legal drama Suits is one of her roles that is the most famous role. Rafferty was born in Riverside, Connecticut. Her love of the arts is credited to her mother Mary Lee Rafferty (Chairwoman of the English Department at Convent of the Sacred Heart School) and her father Michael Griffin Rafferty Jr. who has two lucrative career options in oil painting as well as finance. Her sisters include Maura, Ann, and Constance.Rafferty studied at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and graduated in 1989. She majored in English and Theatre at Hamilton College, studied theatre abroad in the United Kingdom and at the University of Oxford during her junior year. She then after graduating with the magna cum laude at Hamilton in 1993, went to the Yale School of Drama, graduating with an M.F.A. Arts.Rafferty's husband is Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka Seppala, an American from Finnish descent, who is a stock research analyst in the asset management division of Lazard Freres & Company.
