Sofia Richie was born August 24, 1998. She is a popular American social media personality as well as a model and fashion designer. She is the eldest child of Lionel Richie, a singer and sister to television personality Nicole Richie. Richie grew up in a family of musicians. She began singing at age five , and then play the piano at age seven. She would make appearances at father's shows. She also took vocal lessons with vocal coach, Tim Carter, when she was 14 as well. Joel Madden, her brother-in law and lead singer for Good Charlotte was also her assistant in the studio. She decided to move away from a career in music due to the pressure of maintaining the fame of her father in the music industry. She appeared in a variety of episodes on her sister Nicole's reality TV series Candidly Nicole in 2014.
