Tony Hawks

 Antony Gordon Hawksworth MBE, born February 27, 1960 was a British comedian, author, and actor. The actor was a student in Manchester University's Drama department. After dropping out, Hawks appeared at The Astoria in the West End musical Lennon: A Musical Biography. Before he found chart success He was already appearing on BBC Radio 4's Big Fun Show with Paul Merton, John Irwin and Josie Lawrence.Hawks initially attempted to break into show business by singing and writing, but it was with the release of a novelty album that he got his first taste of fame as the leader of the trio Morris Minor and the Majors and the Majors, he climbed to No. 4 in the UK Singles Chart with the Beastie Boys parody, "Stutter Rap (No Sleep until Bedtime)" in the year 1988. It sold 220,000 copies and reached the No. 2 in Australia. The sequel, a parody of Stock Aitken Waterman called "This Is Chorus", did not fare as well. It was later followed by Morris Minor's Marvellous Motors (written and starring Hawks). The show portrayed a fictional bandleader trying to keep his popular career alive while operating a garage. The series aired only one episode on BBC1 in 1989.
