James Michael Anderson OBE, born 30 July 1982 James Michael Anderson OBE, born 30 July 1982, is an English international cricketer. He plays for the Lancashire County Cricket Club as well as England. Anderson is also a part-time cricket commentator for BBC. Anderson is the fastest wicket taker in Test cricket. He is also the only fast bowler who has taken at least 600 Test wickets. Anderson also holds the record for the most wickets taken by an England player in One-Day International cricket (ODI). In June 2021, he played his 174th appearance in England in Test cricket, becoming England's most capped player. Anderson has played almost 200 One-Day Internationals.
