 Irina Valeryevna Shykhlislamova (Russian: Irina Valer'evna Shaikhlislamova born 6 January 1986), known professionally as Irina Shayk (/SeIkShayk/; Russian: Irina Sheik) is a Russian model and television personality that gained international recognition when she was the first Russian model on the cover of the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Models.com rates her as one the New Supers. She was born in Yemanzhelinsk, Soviet Union to a Volga Tatar father, Valery Shaykhlislamov. Sometimes Tatars may appear Brazilian. My mother gave me light eyes. Tatiana Petenkova is Tatiana's sister. Tatiana is the mother of three children. Tatiana is her aunt. Tatiana also has a niece named "Irina". She started playing piano at the age of six. When she was nine, she enrolled in a music school and studied at the school for 7 years singing and playing the piano in the choir, as her mother wanted to pursue a degree in music. Her father died of pneumonia complications when she was 14, and left her family with no money and forcing her mother to have two jobs to help support her family.
