American actor and comedian Thomas Jacob Black was born August 28 on the 28th of August, 1969. Black is well-known for his roles as an actor in the films High Fidelity (2000), Shallow Hal (2001), Orange County (2002), School of Rock (2003), Envy (2004), The Holiday (2006), Gulliver's Travels (2010), Bernie (2011), The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) as well as the Jumanji franchise; in addition in August 2022 his music video for "Tribute"--as one of the members of the Grammy Award-winning comedy rock duo Tenacious D--has garnered more than 112 million views on YouTube alone. Black is also famous for his roles in voice acting as Po the gigantic panda in DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda films. Black gained Golden Globe nominations for his performances in School of Rock and Bernie as well as a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 2018.He is the lead vocalist of Tenacious D band, which formed the group in 1994 along with his long-time friend Kyle Gass. Together, they've recorded four studio albums, their self-titled debut Tenacious D as well as The Pick of Destiny. They also starred in the movie Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny (2006). Since the year 2018 Black has been a part of an online channel on YouTube titled Jablinski Games.
